Install SIMOC on your personal computer or school server!

SIMOC consists of a back-end Agent-Based Model (ABM) and web server, both built in Python, and a front-end web interface built principally in JavaScript — all of which are included in the Over the Sun Github page. The full complement can be installed and run on a laptop or desktop, server or cloud infrastructure using Docker containers. Alternatively, the ABM can be used independently (‘SIMOC API’) via the command line, Jupyter notebook, or integrated into an existing Python workflow. At its core, the SIMOC engine can simulate agent interactions of any kind, not just for human habitation on Mars. The SIMOC API can be used to model myriad more subjects.

SIMOC is 100% open source and available for install from GitHub.

There are two principal components to the SIMOC Mars habitat simulator and educational web interface:
  simoc (back-end)
  simoc-web (front-end)

The Configuration Wizard and Dashboard (integral to simoc-web) are released under the Creative Commons license.

The Agent-Based Model (ABM) is released under the GPL 3 license, and included with the simoc install (above).

The Advanced User Guide is available from the Support page.

Have fun!
