SIMOC Dashboard Menu

With SIMOC, the full simulation dataset generated is available for download. It will arrive as a JSON file. It can be converted to comma separated values (CSV) for use in a spreadsheet using JSON to CSV Converter or a Python script.

Each agent interaction for each time-step is included in order that you can analyze the entire run, plot graphs, and apply regression analysis or machine learning algorithms in search of agent correlations and long-term trends. What’s more, the SIMOC data files enable you to run SIMOC locally, even off-line once you are logged in. You can load a local dataset previously downloaded from this page, one you generated in a previous run or provided to you by a teacher or a friend. This will will cut the wait time for large simulations from a few to several minutes to a few seconds, and reduce the load on the SIMOC server (which is always appreciated).

SIMOC Dashboard Menu Download Simulation Data
1) Complete a SIMOC simulation.

2) From the Dashboard menu (upper-right) select Download Simulation Data.

3) Save to your local computer.

We recommend that you not edit this file and load into SIMOC, or it may not display properly.

SIMOC Main Menu Load Simulation Data

1) From the Main menu, select New Simulation.

2) Select Load Simulation Data.

3) Select one of the four Presets or a dataset from a custom simulation.

To engage an entire class, load a Preset or a custom dataset. Then each student will start with a common baseline for their first simulation, without having to wait for the simulation to run. Once the students have this experience, you can set them off on their own to design and test a custom habitat.
